October 2026
We make plans for our future selves almost every day. We imagine where they will live, what they will achieve, and who will be beside them. But how often do we imagine what condition they will be in? Will they still move with ease, remain curious, recover from difficulty, and recognise themselves in the lives we are building for them? Longevity brings these questions closer. Behind the fascination with living longer lies the deeply human wish to keep participating in our own lives.
In this edition of NORMAG, we explore that wish through three connected tracks. Life (Extended Version) asks what we hope to preserve in the years we want to gain. Time Inside the Cell (B-Side) turns our attention towards the biological systems that help cells respond, adapt, and recover. The Noise of Now (Bonus Track) explores why caring for our future selves can feel so difficult when we already know how much it matters.
Together, these articles connect the science of ageing with the experience of being a person who ages. They also invite us to reconsider the place of cosmetics, nutricosmetics, and everyday care within that larger story. Before pressing play, take a moment to consider one question. What would your future self thank you for keeping in their life?
Welcome to this edition of NORMAG. We hope it gives you something to think about long after the final track.
